Efenem’s Exam Syndrome
Recent researches show that during exam seasons, students may exhibit symptoms and signs of Efenem’s Exam Syndrome (EES)
WHAT IS EES?
Researchers, medical consultants, surgeons, pharmacists and scientist throughout the whole planet had a hard time fathoming this syndrome. However, a student from
Nizhniy Novgorod State Medical Academy , Russia helped them in understanding the approach needed. This syndrome is named after the founder.
One of the most discerned symptoms of person having this syndrome is that the patient can never study when he is in possession of his laptop.
This syndrome is divided into pre-exam, exam and post-exam periods.
- PRE-EXAM
- The day before the exam, the patient is usually sleep-deprived. The patient sleeps not more than 3 hours. Any attempt to sleep more has proven to be waste of time.
- The patient may experience abnormally increased non-rhythmical heart rate (tachyarrhythmia) the whole day.
- The last 4 hours before the exam showed loss of concentration. The patient may be holding answer schemes, but he could never read them.
- The patient also might wander around the corridor and singing alone to calm down.
- There is also clearly manifested hormonal imbalance due to sleep-deprivation. The patient may say something inappropriate and flirty too.
- In rare cases, the patient can slap his beloved roommate when he’s sleeping peacefully
- EXAM
- This period proves to have the biggest adrenal rush. Sometimes the patient can forget everything.
- Tachyarrythmia, agitation, profused sweating, speechlessness, and shaking are often the most visible signs.
- Any extra questions from the examiner are always replied with blankness.
- POST-EXAM
- This is the relief period. The patient has never failed any exams yet, but even if he fails, it is still a relief period.
- This period is usually followed by repossession of laptop (which was confiscated by the patient’s friend) and compensatory sleeping.
MEDICAL TREATMENT
- The cure is not yet found; usually patient will take a nice sleeping pill (e.g. donormyl) to sleep during the pre-exam period.
- Coffee, water, chocolate, potato chips and chili sauce are not really helping.
- However, a temporary cure which restores the patient heart rate to normal level was found. Disturbing friends à effective for several minutes.
- Patients who have EES are advised not to seek medical consult, because EES is neither therapeutic nor surgical problem. Maybe psych or neurological.
- Note that EES happen only a few times at the end of each semester, and the recovery period of EES are usually enjoyable Eurotrip or simply fly home and get fat.
CONCLUSION
If a person, let’s say his name is Kentang is having these syndromes, the name will not change to Kentang’s Exam Syndrome, however cute or yummy the name is. It will always stay as Efenem’s Exam Syndrome. Thank you.
